Lonely young people are invited to a social cinema experience again

After a fully booked event last year, we are once again inviting young people who feel lonely to a social cinema experience in the Palads cinema. The young people will watch the new film "The Silent Ones" and meet before and after the film for a social gathering.

One in five young people feel lonely

Almost one in five young people in Denmark experience severe loneliness. Loneliness occurs when your social needs are not met - and therefore loneliness is a subjective feeling because we all have different social needs. Loneliness can occur because you are very physically alone - but it can also occur even when you are surrounded by people and friends if you don't feel seen and understood. Loneliness among young people can have major consequences for their well-being, ability to concentrate and social self-esteem - and can therefore leave deep traces that follow them into adulthood.

That's why we take responsibility with our massive voice in the public space.

The outdoor campaign

The event kicks off with a two-week outdoor campaign in the Copenhagen area. The main element of the campaign is the digital part, seen at metro stations and shopping centres, where chat messages appear on our digital advertising screens.
