Copenhagen Central Station
Is one of Denmark’s most important transport hubs and a place where thousands of people pass through every day. The station connects regional and long-distance trains, S-trains, the Metro, buses and international rail services, creating a constant flow of commuters, tourists and visitors in the heart of Copenhagen.
The central location and high passenger flow provide unique opportunities to create strong visibility in an environment where people naturally spend time and move through the station. Outdoor placements at Copenhagen Central Station therefore ensure both high exposure and repeated contact with the audience. The combination of high traffic, iconic surroundings and strong formats makes Copenhagen Central Station one of the most attractive locations for outdoor advertising in Denmark.
Copenhagen Central Station is undergoing a major modernization from 2026 to 2028 (estimated completion). The project focuses on creating more space and improving passenger flow, including a clearer division between an open travel hall and a reduced retail area. The goal is to accommodate increasing passenger numbers while highlighting the station’s historic architecture.
During the renovation period, Bauer Media Outdoor offers a range of unique outdoor formats around the iconic central clock in the main traffic hall. Large-scale formats create a strong and highly visible presence in one of Denmark’s most central transport hubs.
The setup consists of four banners, with the possibility of eight layout variations, as each design is visible from both sides. This creates a powerful visual impact and ensures high exposure to the many thousands of people passing through the station every day.
Brand activation opportunities
In addition to the banner formats, campaigns can be combined with brand activation in selected areas in and around the main traffic hall, including:
- Under the central clock in the main traffic hall – both in front of the columns closest to the platform entrances and between the columns and the ticket machines near the exit to Banegårdspladsen
- In the two entrance halls from Bernstorffsgade (Tivoli)
- In the entrance hall from Vesterbrogade / Banegårdspladsen
- At the entrances leading down to the platforms in the main traffic hall
These locations create opportunities for direct interaction with travellers and help strengthen the overall campaign presence within the station environment.
